MUSLIM institute organizes book launching ceremony of English translation of Hadrat Sultan
Bahoo’s Punjabi Abyat at National Library of Pakistan.

Among distinguished speakers were Ambassador of Portugal, HE Jao Paulo Sabido Costa,
Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan, HE Piotr Opalinski, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali, Chairman
MUSLIM Institute, Maj-Gen (retd) Shahid Ahmed Hashmat, renowned poet Ehsan Akbar,
Zafar Bakhtawri, former preident ICCI, Ashfaq Gondal former secretary information, Dr
Arshad Nashad, Urdu Department AIOU, Mujeeb Ahmad, History Department IIUI.

Speakers said that Sultan Bahoo’s poetry was philosophical in essence but easy to under-
stand. One of the key elements related to the translation of Dr ZA Awan is the focus on basic
content with an easily understandable explanation. His poetic lines in Abyat end at the word
Hoo which makes it unique. It influences as well as guides an illiterate and a scholar as well.
Sufism has been the most effective tool against sectarianism.

Words are not enough to pay tribute to the services rendered by Sultan Bahoo, a personality
known for great conviction and thought among distinguished Muslim scholars. He is considered
the epicenter of devotion and transformation of societies. Speakers appreciated services
rendered by MUSLIM Institute with a special focus to promote pacifist teachings to curb dark-
ness of hatred, racism and xenophobia through values of love, kindness and compassion,
ardently espoused and practiced by Sufi Mystics.

The book encompasses key concepts of spiritualism while elucidating ‘Wahdaniat’ and ‘Risalat’.
The book also comprehends methods propagated by Sufis like ‘Dhikr-Fikr’ and the concept of
‘Faqr-Faqeer’, ‘Murshid-Mureed’. These concepts will certainly facilitate readers in understand-
ing core deliberations. It is important for a reader to be fully familiar with the terminology and
concepts of ‘Abyat’. In this context, the book facilitates the reader to a great extent.

The reason for this renewed format about Sultan Bahoo’s (RA) valuable contribution (Abyat)
is to develop an invigorating interest for international academia. They would certainly
appreciate with perceptive reasoning and a fascination could be generated to understand
spiritual schematics of Deen Al Islam.

Current turmoil, prevailing sense of hatred and extremism is the result of our rebuttal from
the teachings of Sufis. Sufi teachings infuse us with the spirit of love, sympathy and tolerance
while negating hatred, ignorance and racism. Science and technology have transformed the
world into a global village in the wake of globalization. This smart world is unable to satisfy
our soul but spiritual poetry and teachings are very much effective in this manner.
