Pakistan’s distressed Pakhtuns are not welcome anymore? Abu Saleh When the Pakistani regime of general Musharraf allied his country with the Americans in the so called war on terror he did not take his countrymen’s consent. The only friends Musharraf had at the time was his own henchmen. The Islamists were bred nurtured and let loose by American and Arab money to fight the Russians in Afghanistan. America’s Jihadist or Islamic Holy warriors as they were then known were pitted against the might of the USSR that threatened American military domination in the far corners of the globe. Even then, as now Pakistan’s was relegated to fulfilling a proxy role for a global military power that became the world’s lone unipolar policeman after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russia was then trying to foment trouble in Balochistan to get access to the warm waters of the Arabian sea. Now the American may be planning the same thing . A fact amply illustrated by the concept now coined conveniently as the blood borders. A recipe for more bloody conflicts in a region that has now become America’s battleground. Careful planning has gone into the breakup formula and the signs are clear for everyone to see. Objective one : To destroy the Pakhtun so that they are unable to defend Pakistan and challenge the Baloch insurgents in Balochistan. It is after all the Pakhtun equation there that prevents the Baloch from announcing an all out war of independence. It is a sad day that people who once gave their young sons to die defending Pakistan are now made homeless by the so called nationalist leaders which many now say have received heavy dole outs of cash and many of whom have now bought properties overseas to escape the wrath of their own people. Not surprising therefore to see the Nationalist in cahoots with the party that prides itself in calling themselves the Mohajirs or Refugees yet has blocked the poor Pakhtun from entering Sind. Is Sind now a different country or does it need another Mohammed Bin Qasim or for that matter does the Punjab need another Ahmad Shah baba to be born in its bosom so as to bring back the era of Islam and pride and remove the system reminiscent of the Hindu Thakurs replete with dancing girls and rife with decadence. Have the Mohajirs forgotten how the people of Pakistan welcomed them with open arms. Little did they know that after sixty years of toiling and making a living in this new land they would still consider themselves as refugees. Their behavior resembles the Zionists who came as refugees and occupied Palestine. Today the Pakhtuns are not allowed into Sind. Tomorrow they may be not be welcome in other parts as well. Well done countrymen well-done!. You have rekindled the spirit of your ancestors , Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafar. But as you revel in the new found wealth of American dollars to fight their war on terror don’t forget that you once had a proud people the Pakhtuns who saved your homes from the enemy but who are now paying a dear price by living as Refugees in their own land. If this is not Ethnic cleansing then what is?. Just imagine if the Indian Army was to let loose its tanks aircraft to drop bombs and heavy artillery to pound Kashmiri villages to flush out the freedom fighters would we feel as relaxed in our homes ? The Pakhtuns have been sold off by their Mullah’s and so called Nationalists leaders while the Mullah’s got fat by joining General Musharraf the Nationalists may be gaining more flesh around their stomachs from the money doled out by the Americans and while their own people may now be living in the fear that they may not have any more bread to eat. Their crops are rotting in their fileds. Bajuar is already a ghost town, as is Mingora and other parts of Swat Dir and Buner. Can Mardan or Charsadda be far away?. If the so called Taliban could take over Buner with a hundred men would two hundred men take Mardan or Charsadda. The new government in the Frontier cannot be expected to give their citizens any hope for peace but they will be able to cash in on the misery of their own people for sure.
