Sindh being deprived of resources: nationalists

Sann:April 25:Thousands of activists of the Jeay Sindh Mahaz(JSM) jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz(JSQM) and Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz )JSMM) attended death anniversary programmes of G.M.syed held separately by different factions on Saturday.

JSQM chairman  Basheer Khan Qureshi said Punjab usurped the resources of Sindh and deprived its people of their rights. He was speaking at a gathering after laying a wreath at the grave of G.M.syed and offering fateha.He said the followers of Syed would never allow Taliban in Sindh and would protect its people. Karachi belonged to Sindhis.its separation from Sindh wouldn’t be allowed.

Dr.Safdar Sarki said people were facing hunger, poverty and unemployment. He appealed to the professionals for joining JSQM for rights of Sindh. Mohammad Rahimoon,

Akash Mallah,Zafar Korejo and Shabbir Jamali also spoke on the fourteenth death anniversary of Jeay Sindh Tahreek(JST) founder G.M.Syed observed in his native  town Sann district Jamshoro on Saturday.

Earlier,G.M.syed’s family members,led by Sindh United Party(SUP) president Syed Jalal Mehmood Sahah laid a wreath and offered fateha at the grave.A sufi song was also sung.

Hundreds of activists of the JSM reached the grave of Mr.syed under the leadership of its chairman Riaz Chandio.

Speaking at the gathering of his party workers,Mr.Chandio said Syed had laid the foundation of Sindhi nationalism while late Z.A.Bhutto and Pir Pagaro started feudal and federal politics.

He said G.M.Said had told international communities in a Vienna peace conference that world forces and Pakistani  establishment were supporting religious elements in Pakistan which would threaten the entire world.and that had been proved.He said, adding that “we believe in co-existence ad non-violence preached by mystics and Syed”. He said a conspiracy was afoot to convert indigenous people in to minority through MQM and others.JSM would star a movement outside Karachi and all press clubs of Sindh to motivate the people.Mumtaz Bhutto,Syed Iqbal Mehmood Shah and Basheer Khan Qureshi would also be invited.He appealed to the MQM,PML-F ,PPP and other parties no to allow Burmese and Bengalis to register their names in Sindh.He reminded the Pakhtoon community that they were in Karachi for livelihood only.

Resolutions: Resolutions adopted by the JSM on the occasion called for UN probe in to killings of three Baloch leaders and Samiullah Kalhoro,release of missing workers, handing over of national resources to Sindh,no other dam over Indus, implementation of 1945 water accord and ownership of Indus to Sindhis, expulsion of aliens from Sindh and recognition of migrants who came before 1954 as Sindhis.

MQM.an MQM delegation led by MPA Akram Adil and adviser Chief Minister Izhar ul Hassan also  laid a wreath and offered fateha for G.M.syed
