Shelter at Northern Bypass destroyed

KARACHI: According to reports, the Sindh government has allegedly made the announcement for the registration of displaced people of Swat while setting up camps at the Northern Bypass on Friday. Witnesses said that the workers of nationalist parities reached the area and destroyed the whole arrangement made by the government. Sindh Chief Secretary Fazalur Rehman said that the government has chalked out a strategy ahead of the displaced families’ arrival and have planned to set up camps at the entry point of Sindh. He explained that in the first phase, camps will be set up at Kashmore and Obaro because it would be convenient for the people arriving from Swat and other troubled areas. The government will provide them with accommodation with all possible facilities, he said, adding that those IDPs already in the city and residing with their relatives will also be registered. ANP Sindh’s spokesman Qadir Khan rejected the role of the government and said that ANP itself registered the IDPs and provide them with accommodation and other facilities. He added that ANP has sent a list of more then 4,000 displaced families to the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah
