JI slams MQM
KARACHI:
The Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Women’s Wing has criticised the
Muttahida Qaumi Movement over its support for the Jeay Sindh Qaumi
Mahaz’s (JSQM) strike call for today.
“The MQM is lending its support to another strike call for political
gains,” JI Women’s Wing chief Tasneem Moazzam said in a statement on
Sunday. She said that the affected residents of the Malakand agency
need immediate help and relief from their compatriots.
“Instead of extending a helping hand to them, the affectees are
being humiliated in the name of Talibanisation. This strike call
will serve no other purpose than further bogging the country down in
the present quagmire of problems,” she said.
