KARACHI: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan arrived in Karachi on Sunday and demanded an impartial probe into the May 12, 2007 carnage.

Khan was given a warm welcome when he arrived at the Jinnah International Airport on Sunday, where a large number of his party activists were present.

Later, addressing a press conference, Khan said the May 12 killings was a serious issue, that needs be probed thoroughly. He said Karachi is a mini Pakistan, and he was glad to be there.It is the fundamental right of every citizen to visit any part of the country,' he said.In reply to a question, he said that there was no possibility of a martial law being imposed in Pakistan.

He expressed serious concern over the situation in Swat and displacement of nearly one million people from there. He said he would meet Sindh National Front (SNF) Chairman Mumtaz Bhutto and discuss political issues with him.
