The accused then led the police to the spot where the arms and explosives were dumped. In an identical case, police had booked Aamir Khan, in which an accused, Dastagir Khan, confessed to dumping arms and explosives in Landhi. The recovery was made in a similar manner in the presence of police officials. Advocate M R Syed and Advocate Sohail Anjum, representing their respective clients, termed the cases against their clients as political victimisation, stating that there were no independent witnesses to the recovery.
